Minotti Furniture 2020 Collection Picks for Residential Interior Design
Minotti has always been one of our favorite italian brands. As interior designers, we love Italian brands as they set a pace in design with their cutting-edge, high-quality craftsmanship and distinctive looks. We especially admire Minotti Furniture because of the finishing touches their products feature and the craftsmanship that’s behind each of them.
The company started as a small artisan workshop creating handmade contemporary furniture in 1948. The uniqueness of their products and high quality made Minotti grow quickly into a modern factory, becoming one of the most recognized brands in the interior design world. Today, the company is present in 63 countries with 34 stores and 300 qualified dealers around the world.
Minotti is one of the vendors we look forward to checking out at the Salone Del Mobile trade show every year — we get super excited to discover everything about their new collections.
Minotti’s Miami team is also one of our favorites to work with, and their local showroom is a must-visit while shopping in the Miami Design District Furniture with our clients. One of the things we really enjoy is getting inspired by the furniture layouts they have in their showrooms —always creative arrangements!
Minotti is always innovating and following the latest trends in furniture design. The brand’s collections include a variety of products, from sofas to outdoor furniture. As you can imagine, we’re loving the new collections, but do you wonder which ones won our hearts? Our head DKORista, Ivonne Ronderos, is sharing her favorites below.
BLAZER COLLECTION – Minotti Furniture
The Blazer Collection by Rodolfo Dordoni has taken the typical “tufting” and added a more modern approach with a geometric feel. “I love the rhythm of the back of the sofa where it combines two voluminous shapes,” Ivonne says. “It’s super sophisticated and I could totally see it in a man’s office or lounge for a more masculine take on a comfy sophisticated sofa.”
TORI COLLECTION
The Tori Collection by Nendo has an Asian flair with its very geometric and organized shapes. The metal frame structure is inspired by the image of the “torii”, the entrance gate to Shinto shrines in Japan. The frame is so airy and weightless. Also, it allows this piece to not feel overpowering for a space, easily able to be combined with a more substantial sofa in a living room.
FLYNN COLLECTION
The Flynn Collection by GamFratesi has a more mid-century vibe, combining the smooth, organic walnut shapes with tailored upholstery.
