Reveal of Coastal Bedrooms in a Florida Keys Home
Welcome to our reveal of the coastal bedrooms in our beautiful Florida Keys home project. Designed with an abundance of natural light, wood details, and lush textures, these coastal bedrooms share a sense of tranquility while each possessing their own special qualities.
Throughout the rooms, we combined rustic elements like rattan furniture with light neutral hues to provide a sense of being safely at ease within a treehouse. The result is contemporary meets beachy, which is perfect for a home in the Keys. Read on for some coastal bedroom ideas to inspire your own home project.
MASTER BEDROOM
Let’s first look at the master bedroom, which centers on a feeling of coziness and warmth. It’s the main nest in the tree, where the homeowners can retreat after a long day of being on the sand.
The goal with this room was to create a relaxing atmosphere with natural elements like dried flowers and woven materials. We then added a touch of modernity with chic pendant lighting and cool gray hues.
The highlight of the room is the custom-made gray padded headboard. With a chevron pattern, it adds a contemporary feel to the softness of the room. To complement this feature, we added a large pile of throw pillows on the bed to elevate the sense of hygge.
GUEST BEDROOM
While it has a similar bed frame and wood flooring as the master, this guest bedroom explores a different perspective on life in the treehouse. It features bright shades of white that recall the sails of a boat at sea.
The textural bed throw and pillow shams as well as the furniture give the space a bohemian yet modern feel befitting our treehouse theme. The room also features sliding glass doors with a large balcony that is perfect for taking in the coastal views.
GUEST BEDROOM #2
Our second guest bedroom is similar to the first, but with a charming seating area. Also designed to evoke the beauty and serenity of the Keys, it features a bright white and beige color palette with organic textiles.
Symmetry plays a key role in this space with many furniture pieces being duplicated on either side of the room. This creates a sense of harmony and balance that will make this room very appealing to guests in need of a zen feeling.
GUEST BEDROOM #3
This guest bedroom of this tropical home is like a rustic paradise come to life. While it is the smallest room of the bunch, it has many special details that make it inviting. As the bed is the focal point, we’ve played it up with a clay-colored accent wall and a textural rug. This instantly frames the space and makes it feel cohesive.
The room is filled with nature-inspired elements like beautiful wicker stools, a wooden wardrobe, and a palm frond accent piece. To finish it off, we’ve added built-in shelving featuring curated books and vases that capture the laid back vibes of the beach.
From bright bedding to balconies that overlook the water, every detail of these coastal bedrooms was carefully considered to bring our dreamy treehouse vision to life. We hope you enjoyed exploring this home with us! If you’re looking to create your own coastal haven, be sure to get in touch today!
