Bedroom Design: You’ll Love This Earthy Room Decor
Every bedroom in this Canarias Doral vacation home feels like a tranquil retreat. The client wanted to create the perfect vacation home for the family, including their kids and grandkids. Our team focused on designing an earthy room decor throughout the home, ensuring each bedroom had a unique style but felt cohesive together. The bedrooms were designed with the client’s family in mind, along with a special kids’ room for the grandchildren.
EARTHY ROOM DECOR
GUEST BEDROOM
Throughout this residential project, our team focused on finding creative design solutions that fit within the client’s budget. In this first room, we used paint to frame the wall by the headboard to create an interesting accent. The natural sage green color creates a relaxing feel and adds depth to the space—it’s the perfect focal point for the room to balance out the crisp white walls and bed linens. Wood floors throughout add warmth, along with pops of color in the accessories, like the accent pillows on the bed.
SECOND GUEST BEDROOM
In keeping with the earthy modern decor of the home, we incorporated natural elements into each bedroom. Hanging plants provide color and interest, plus they tie in beautifully to the rich, dark green accent pillow and ottoman in this second guest room.
On the left side of the bed, a custom built-in vanity with a CB2 mirror provides functionality for guests. The simple, nature-inspired color palette in this room gives textural pieces a chance to shine. On the wall behind the headboard, we used textured wallpaper to bring warmth and depth to the space.
For the TV wall, we used the IKEA BESTA tv cabinet for a modern look—we love how the floating design feels high-end but offers an ideal budget-friendly option.
THIRD GUEST BEDROOM
In the first floor bedroom, we had fun with more colors and a high-contrast look. Black accents, like the sleek table lamp and bed pillows, create a sophisticated, modern feel. The artwork above the bed ties the color palette together with a mix of pink, black, and peach tones that remind us of natural clay. One of our favorite features of this bedroom is the continuity of elements, such as the vertical lines found on the tall drapery and the channel-tufted upholstered bed. Like the other bedrooms, we made sure to work in earthy elements; woven baskets add texture, along with a ceramic vase on the nightstand in a peachy, natural hue.
There is nothing better than having a beautiful guest bedroom ready for your family as they arrive. We loved how this earthy modern vacation home offered a space for everyone in the client’s family to enjoy a relaxing getaway. For more ideas, check out our design tips for vacation homes.
