Surfside Residence Decor that Embraces Nature’s Beauty

Located in Surfside, Miami, our “Waterfront Miami Surfside Residence” celebrates the natural environment of the Sunshine State, boasting a modern architectural design by the renowned architect Max Strang.

With a goal of harmonizing the stunning exterior with its interior design plan, our interior design team has infused a touch of the great outdoors into the interiors, resulting in a seamless blend of nature, functionality and contemporary living.

The home’s architecture revolves around the indoor/outdoor connection, embellished with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and an open layout that brings an abundance of natural light into the interior spaces. On our initial site visit, we began to formulate the interior design plan for the space. Consequently, we knew the decor had to focus on bringing the outside in./vc_column_text]

SURFSIDE RESIDENCE – COLOR PALETTE

Our Miami designers’ goal for this spectacular Surfside residence was for every element in the home decor to reflect the natural beauty just beyond the walls.

The earthy color palette, complemented by blues and greens, draws inspiration from the natural hues of the landscape and the overall beauty of the Miami Beach panorama.

INTERIOR DECOR – ELEMENTS

The look of the outdoors was reflected in the choice of materials, with natural elements such as wood and glass taking center stage. In our design, clean lines, touches of greenery, and an abundance of textures come together. As a whole, these elements collectively infuse a touch of serenity into the main living spaces, which we will reveal below.

FOYER

To begin implementing the indoor/outdoor connection, our design team chose to add a cozy seating area in the outdoor entry hallway of this Surfside residence, right in front of the main door.

This setup offers a preview of the entire home decor vibe while providing our clients with a space where they can relax with their visitors and enjoy the fresh air.

DINING ROOM

Enjoying a meal in this dining room almost feels like eating outdoors, immersed in the verdant landscape. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows instantly connect the indoor and outdoor spaces, with no visible barrier between them.

In order to make our furniture and lighting choices align with this open and airy vibe, we chose a delicate glass dining table for a subtle touch, and a light fixture by ET2 Lighting that evokes dropletss of water.

We matched the overall soft gray tones in our choice of window treatments, wallcovering, and furniture, creating a seamlessly blended space in which the greenery itself is the main attraction.

LIVING ROOM

In the living room design for this Surfside residence, our job was to select the furniture and create a functional layout so that the room would serve as both a library and a living area.

The existing bamboo screen provided guidance for the rest of our selections, a design anchor that ensured they complemented the space harmoniously.

Our choices included the gray sofa and the Ithos table by B&B Italia, both of which combined glass with wood, and two Jensen swivel chairs from Minotti. To create a visually interesting focal wall in the space, we filled Jesse bookcases with lots of colorful books.

KITCHEN

To decorate the kitchen, we embraced the airy vibe by designing a breakfast area within the existing kitchen island. The Spokes Pendant by Foscarini complements the space, casting a beautiful interplay of light and shadow, especially at night. We made use of different textures, such as the woven leather chairs in a gray tone that harmonize with the rest of the home decor color palette
