“Coverings” is the largest ceramic tile and natural stone conference and exhibition in North America. We are proud to say that at the 2023 edition of Coverings, DKOR Interiors was recognized as top interior designers for its innovative use of Italian tiles in this year’s Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition.

Our “Contemporary Coastal Florida Keys Home“, a vacation home that recently was given a sophisticated makeover by our Florida design team, was given a special honorable mention on the Ceramics of Italy’s Residential Design Awards 2023.

This annual tile competition, organized by Confindustria Ceramica and the Italian Trade Agency, awards top North American architects and designers who creatively use Italian ceramic and porcelain tile in unique installations in design projects around the world.

Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition – Categories

The Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition has four categories: Residential (Single-Family), Residential (Multi-Family), Commercial and Institutional, and students. Our honorable mention was in the residential category.

Residential Design Awards

Being honored with a design award for our work gives us great satisfaction and makes us very happy, because we are always looking to bring the most innovative solutions in terms of design and functionality to our clients’ homes. 

An international jury made up of design industry experts choose the design award winners. The projects are selected based on their creativity, functionality, sustainability and aesthetic appeal.

This is not the first time DKOR Interiors has made it to the design awards list. Our team received an International Interior Design award by the Ceramics of Italy 2014 Tile Competition for the best use of Italian ceramic in a residential project with our “A Contemporary Moody Home” project in Aventura, FL. In 2017, we won the design award in the residential with our Fort Lauderdale residential project, “Contemporary Waterfront Elegance.”

HONORABLE MENTION

We’d love to show you how our interior designers used Italian tiles to create innovative solutions in this vacation home in the Florida Keys, which received an honorable mention in this year’s Single-Family Residential category. We completed this residential project in collaboration with Pinewood Enterprises, Inc.

We used Natural Tile by Edimax Ceramiche as the general flooring in the common areas.

BATHROOM DESIGNS
