When potential clients with backgrounds in the hotel industry approached the DKOR Interiors design team about designing their contemporary waterfront home on Fort Lauderdale’s Harbor Beach, we jumped at the chance. We love collaborating with clients who have high expectations for interior design—they push us and our creativity. They wanted waterfront elegance in their Fort Lauderdale home; they wanted their home to be light and contemporary, to reflect the beachy location, but to be edgier than the homes that surrounded theirs. Our design concept used the home’s architecture as our inspiration, bringing certain elements inside and connecting the entire home together.

Our team worked alongside Bomar Builders to bring this waterfront elegance in Fort Lauderdale to life. Our Miami-based design team selected materials and finishes that aligned with the architectural elements of this contemporary waterfront home and chose the furnishings, accessories, lighting, and more throughout the home interiors.

We aimed to design a home that was both contemporary and timeless. We strove to give our clients a home that crossed over and checked all of their design boxes: beachy yet edgy, light yet elegant, modern yet refined. Our team worked closely with our clients to push our design boundaries and to learn from the clients, whose knowledge of the hotel industry, no doubt impacted our design and our process.
