Furniture & Lighting Picks for a Contemporary Coral Gables Oasis
Get a sneak peek into the final pieces the DKOR Interiors team selected to complete this Contemporary Corals Gables Oasis for our clients. And when we say peek, we mean it. No full reveals in this post—stay tuned for all of the before and after shots as we finish up the stunning master bathroom. While we’re working the final touches, we’ll show you how sometimes the best laid (design) plans require some tweaking. And that’s why we always have different options on hand!
FOYER – Contemporary Coral Gables Oasis
In the foyer, even though some major pieces changed, the look is still very much as we planned thanks to the Visual round mirror balanced by a pair of Mini-Dia pendants. The pale-hued console was eventually swapped out for a more angular black version, the Porada Asya Console Table. Our interior designers also replaced the rectangular ottoman with two Zuo Modern Tubby stools.
Our clients love that the options we chose in the end, lent a bit more contrast and interest to the overall vignette. Plus a pop of greenery never hurts!
LIVING ROOM – Contemporary Coral Gables Oasis
Our original furniture selects in the living room included two dark teal-blue chairs that stood out among mostly neutral furnishings. As our conversations with our clients progressed, we decided a deep teal-blue rug was our best option, as it set the stage for a duo of gray Désirée Koster Chairs and a lucite Rialto Coffee Table.
We love lucite tables because they don’t take up too much visual weight in a room, leaving space for us to play with design—like layering gray soft poufs underneath the coffee table.
One of our favorite pieces in this room is the chic marble and brass Cube C-Side side table from West Elm. It’s a design chameleon, being modern and classic, feminine and masculine at the same time. And the best part? It’s functional for this young family because it’s so easy to move around to any seat that needs a petite table.
DINING ROOM – Contemporary Coral Gables Oasis
Out of all three of these rooms, the final dining room look stayed the truest to our initial renderings. The dining room features a sleek table with streamlined chairs and a sizable white credenza for storing all of our clients’ entertaining necessities. We switched up the light fixture, adding a sparkle of brass and moving the geometric interest over to an eye-catching diamond mirror from Cattelan Italia.
Look for the final reveal of this stunning Coral Gables home in the coming week. We can’t wait to show it to you!
