A Brickell Condo Design Idea that Maximizes Space
Located in the heart of Brickell, Miami, this condo design idea proves that luxury living doesn’t require a large space. Using the concept of ‘Living with Peace of Mind,’ our design balances opposing forces to create a serene seaside home.
Throughout this luxury condo, we used curved edges, organic textures, and light neutrals to maximize space. Our clients desired an open and airy ambiance with coastal accents and we were more than happy to deliver.
Let’s explore the light-filled living and dining areas of this open-plan condo together.
CONDO DESIGN IDEA – LIVING AREAS
First, let’s explore the design behind the living room. This space centers around an inviting seating area that feels both lively and fresh. A slender, lifted sofa and glass table enhance the feeling of lightness in the room. Several artistic end tables replace a single large coffee table, adding pops of interest while preserving valuable floor space. Additionally, a circular rug anchors these elements with an organic pattern reminiscent of natural stone.
For the color palette, we chose a base of light grays coupled with soothing dark sage green accents. Floor-to-ceiling windows with sheer draperies allow natural light to flood in, blurring the boundary between the indoors and the outside.
Next, let’s dive into some of the space-saving details of this room. Rather than a clunky entertainment center, we mounted the television above a sleek floating shelf. This choice makes for not only a clean but also modern look without any unnecessary clutter.
We also chose a slim bar console with curved edges and glass shelves. The addition of silver barware adds to a sense of luxury while reflecting light.
A table extension on the sofa provides a space-saving alternative to a traditional table. In addition, the floor lamp, with its slender and nearly invisible stand, provides ample lighting with a minimal footprint.
Dining Room with Round Table
When our designers are working with space limits, they frequently turn to creative solutions, such as curved furniture. This dining area is a perfect example. In this case, four curved armchairs were used to nestle around a chic round table, maximizing space.
The clear glass tabletop, metallic stand, and glossy flooring lend a reflective quality that enhance the natural light. The plush sage velvet upholstery of the chairs provides a luxe contrast.
A selection of textural art and artifacts, like this artwork made from natural Coco sticks enhance the organic ambiance.
Light meets luxe in delicate details layered throughout the space.
In the background, the dark, reflective black cabinets ground the space while defining the kitchen area. This open-plan condo now has multiple areas to commune, while allowing plenty of room to walk around. Both organic and luxurious, light and dark – we’ve balanced opposing forces to create a truly enjoyable living space.
