What’s Coming up in Milan at Salone Del Mobile 2023
The entire design world (including our DKORistas) is ready to see what’s coming up at Salone del Mobile 2023! Next week, the 61st edition of the world’s largest furniture fair held in Milan every year will take place from April 18th through 23.
Our Miami interior designers are ready to walk the Salon del Mobile 2023 show to see the best of the hundreds of exhibitors and the thousands of products showcased at this international platform with more than 370,000 attendees from over 180 different countries. This is like a big party for the interior design world!
WHAT’S NEW AT THE SALONE DEL MOBILE 2023
We have been attending the Milan interior design show for many many years, and each year we are always surprised by something new and different. Trust us, there is always something unexpected that makes the experience a completely new one!
This year, the show’s promoters are talking about three important changes: a new layout in which the exhibits will be displayed on a single level; the more practical ring-shaped layout of Euroluce; and the cultural component incorporated into Euroluce through interdisciplinary and experiential contents, covering architecture to art with exhibitions, talks, workshops and site-specific installations.
THIS YEAR’S EXHIBITIONS
Each year, Salone del Mobile 2023 consists of different exhibitions. At the 61th edition, we are looking forward to the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Workplace3.0, S.Project, Euroluce, and SaloneSatellite.
EUROLUCE
This year will mark the return of the biennial Euroluce, one of our favorite exhibitions. (Check out our favorite lighting designs and installations from the 2019 edition.)
The theme for Euroluce this year will be “The City of Lights”. Lombardini22’s plan for Euroluce 2023 is an urban-type layout on a trade fair scale.
This theme will be the unifying concept that will guide the biennial, extending to the cultural program as well. It includes the interdisciplinary contents curated by Beppe Finessi; Aurore, the talks put together by Annalisa Rosso, with a particular focus on lighting, technology and sustainability; and the large piazza and arena of the biennial designed by Formafantasma.
