Discover a Secret Garden-Inspired Southwest Ranches Home
In collaboration with Bomar Builders, our latest project is a stunning 11,000 square foot Southwest Ranches home. Our clients love the architectural foundation of their home, but wanted to revitalize the furniture and materials. That’s where we’re stepping in to emphasize natural light and add a touch of modernity to create a home interior renovation they will love.
HOME FEATURES
Featuring numerous stunning arches, this Southwest Ranches home exudes character from every corner. It is light-filled and elegant, yet warm and engaging.
Originally a feat of Roman engineering, archways like the ones in this home have an irreplaceable charm that fill each room with a sense of sophistication. Authenticity and a love for the outdoors are cornerstones of our design and we’ve chosen the theme of “Pathway to a Secret Garden” to guide us.
This Southwest Ranches home does have a beautiful garden, although one that is not necessarily a secret. It’s a Japanese garden that has been meticulously planned by the homeowners. Our plan is to emphasize its beauty and bring the outdoors in. In other words, blending the interior of their home with the exterior.
SOUTHWEST RANCHES HOME – DESIGN INSPIRATION
With this interior remodeling, we’re planning to use a neutral, warm color palette so that the home feels more cozy. We’ll also incorporate a touch of burnt orange and lush green. The materials and textures will be evocative of nature, with beautiful stone and wood details.
COMMON AREAS DESIGNS – SOUTHWEST RANCHES HOME
ENTRY FOYER
The archways of this home provide a lot of grandeur and we didn’t want to lose any of that as you walk into the foyer. There is a reverence you feel as you step into this airy open space. We’re planning to add a simple white table to separate the foyer from the common room, keeping decor minimal to let the architecture breathe.
LIVING ROOM
Within the living room, it was important to us to create spaces that felt intimate and comforting as this is the primary gathering spot for the family. To achieve design harmony, we are planning to add an abundance of organic accents.
You’ll notice the many houseplants as well as the artwork and mirrors which are earthy and soft, rather than feeling harsh or manmade. In addition to expanding some of the windows in this home, we have planned layered lighting. Our designers are planning to include recessed lights, pendant lights and sconces.
Viewed from this angle, you can see the unique shapes and motifs that we have incorporated into the common areas as a whole. While the walls are a warm beige, we’ve used lush greens and deep reds and oranges as accents throughout. These colors further a sense of connectedness to the Earth. Lots of plush sofas and chairs add to the coziness of the space while strategically-placed rugs segment one seating area from the next.
DINING ROOM
Rooted in perfect symmetry, there’s everything to love about this truly inspiring dining area. First, there is the architecture, which culminates in a peak directly above the dining table. The large, arched windows at the far end of the room look out over the beautiful palm trees in the yard, which we’re planning to echo with indoor trees on the near side of the room.
For the table itself, we’ve chosen a traditional wooden option with plenty of room for entertaining a large group. As the space is tonally neutral, we’ve grounded the table with an Oriental rug for some added color and warmth.
Moving into the open-plan living room/kitchen, you’ll find similar patterns as in the rest of our interior remodeling. We’ve taken inspiration from the archways and incorporated the curved shape with sofas, a rocking chair, and a round rug and lamp. You’ll find plenty in this room harkens back to our clients’ love of nature, including the stunning floating fire feature.
KITCHEN
We’ve incorporated a lot of wood and stone in this kitchen, minimizing metal in favor of more natural materials. There are really beautiful features here, from the wood beams on the ceiling to the hanging light fixture with many white candles. Again, we’ve used the burnt red for the barstools.
From this angle, you can see the stunning lines that run through this kitchen. Everything is designed to draw the eye outward to the greenery. With large glass doors, you have a clear view that refreshes the senses.
Inspired by the stunning architecture of this home alongside the majesty of nature, this project will be one for the books. Stay tuned as we will be sharing more interior designs from this exciting Southwest Ranches home!
