Discover the Journey of Sea Glass in these Serene Palm Beach Interiors

As you walk along the shore of your favorite beach and listen to the gentle hum of the ocean, it’s impossible not to feel a sense of tranquility. From the turquoise water to the golden sand, these Palm Beach interiors encapsulate the sights, sounds, and experiences of seaside living with the central theme of “Discovering the Journey of Sea Glass.” Sea glass, which has been smoothed over time by the tumbling waves, is one of the most beautiful treasures that can be found on a beach. Glistening in the sun, it often comes in shades like teal, seafoam, and citrine – a kaleidoscope of marine colors.

Integrating the form and repetition of sea glass into each room, the design for this 5416 Sq. Ft North Palm Beach home was created in collaboration with the Courchene Development Corp. It is a welcoming and beautiful family residence with as much uniqueness as a piece of sea glass. As you might stroll along the sand at sunset, wandering through these Palm Beach interiors filled with organic textures and cozy design elements is a balm for the senses.

MATERIALS AND COLOR PALETTE

Reminiscent of both sand and sea, the color palette for this Palm Beach home represents each step in the journey of the creation of sea glass. The common rooms are filled with oak carpentry, natural materials, blue accents, and foliage that remind one of strolling along on an island vacation. In the bedrooms, you’ll discover deeper shades of walnut wood alongside warm wallpapers that exude comfort. Of course, in nearly every room you’ll find decorative lighting, furniture, and accents made of colorful glass that delight the eye and refresh the spirit.

PALM BEACH INTERIORS

FOYER DESIGN

Stepping into the foyer of this home, you can almost feel the warm sea breeze. A thin wall of light wooden slats resembling the trunks of palm trees outlines the space. In the corner stands a tropical plant whose verdant leaves match the foliage that can be seen outside the windows in the dining room. There’s a large mirror above a functional console that adds light and opens up the space. This foyer serves as a welcoming connecting point between the airy living and dining rooms.

KITCHEN

Cleanliness, functionality, and neutral colors define the ultra-minimal kitchen in this home. This space is incredibly easy-to-use with hidden appliances, tucked-in bar stools, and zero clutter. The windows at the top of the cabinets allow a pop of green from the trees outside to bring color to the muted space. They also flood the space with natural light during the day. The strategically placed pendant lights above the island as well as hidden lights beneath the cabinets illuminate all prep and cooking surfaces.

LIVING ROOM

This living room takes on a slightly more formal air than the family room, making it perfect for entertaining guests. There are elements of modernity with mid-century furniture, yet nothing feels heavy or bulky. On the contrary, the natural appearance of the blue marbled rug and oak wood shelves give you the sense of being on island time. The artistic overhead lights resemble a palm frond ceiling fan while the artwork recalls the movement of the waves and colors of sea glass.

FAMILY ROOM

The family room was designed to be a casual, enjoyable space where the whole family can watch a movie together. This room will certainly be a favorite gathering spot for our clients. Take your pick from the comfy seating options here – from a large sofa to chairs and benches, everyone can find their perfect place to relax. While the foundational colors of the room are neutral, there are pops of teal in the pillows and rugs, as well as the sculptural glass bowl on the table. The repeating patterns of the upholstery bring added intrigue. As in the living room, the functional shelving in this room allows our clients to display their favorite photos, books, and art pieces.

The interior design in Palm Beach homes like this one is a balance between laid-back elegance with the style and personality of our clients. We wanted the central theme to be reminiscent of both sand and sea so that even on cloudy days, they can still feel that sense of joy from being at the beach. We look forward to showing you more rooms from this beautiful North Palm Beach home – stay tuned!
