As part of our renovation of this Earthy Modern home, we had a fun challenge:…
We have been following the entire design process of the interior design project in Polanco on the blog. Now, our team is at the start of the production phase in this international interior design project in Mexico. (Read our previous blog posts to know all about it HERE).
We love sharing with you, fellow DKORistas our process, especially when developing functional luxury home interiors in other countries. It is so interesting to see how our international design team works when not on the job site and how they overcome the challenges faced during the different phases of the design process when separated by a long distance.
Once our interior designers have defined the design direction and a design concept the DKOR team moves forward with space planning focusing on the furniture layouts and selections.
Finding the perfect furnishings for a custom dream home does present some challenges. The right furniture pieces must fit the style and the needs of the space, and requires careful attention to the details such as the dimensions and materials used in the furnishings. Our interior design team’s goal is to develop functional rooms with items that are pleasing for everyday living.
With more than 15 years professional experience in interior design we have developed strong work relationships with different vendors both locally and abroad. These trusted vendors are a great resource in the furniture selection phase and help to make the entire process far easier.
We started our search for the Polanco project’s furniture in Mexico City’s luxury furniture showrooms during our last visit to Mexico City and were amazed with our findings. Here are the great spots we recommend visiting.
MEXICO CITY LUXURY FURNITURE SHOWROOMS
Blend is a concept store and designer showroom dedicated to selling the latest in interior design. We loved being able to see several national and international designers in this dynamic space that offers different designer collections under just one roof.
Brands you can find in BLEND MEXICO: Artelinea, Bauhaus, Calvirugs, Caracole, Casa Studio, Diez Company, Ma Maison, Hilando Mexico and more.
Located in the west part of Mexico City is a cool region called Santa Fe, where Park Plaza can be found. Following a park shopping concept, Park Plaza is one of the best shopping centers in the city. We loved how the park combines architecture and nature. We visited some of our favorite international luxury furniture showrooms such as Minotti, Molteni & C, Rimadesio doors, Dada Kitchen and Listone Giordano.
Other brands you can find in PARK PLAZA: Salvatori, B&B Italia, Christian Liaigre, MAXALTO, Paola Lenti, SICIS and Rimadesio.
Birot is a lighting company offering a wide selection of lighting products. We were able to select several lighting fixture options for the interior spaces of our Mexico City interior design project.
On your next visit to Mexico City, we recommend stopping by these showrooms or visiting their online websites to find a perfect addition for your home that is sure to enhance any personal interior space.
