If you live in the Miami area, there’s no doubt you’ve heard of Brickell City Centre in downtown. The first phase of this living, shopping, dining, and working hub was completed in 2016, and DKOR has been hired to decorate an apartment for residents of the Reach tower. (Brickell City Centre is home to two residential towers, Reach and Rise, which were designed by Miami-based architectural firm Arquitectonica and have 390 condo units each.)

Brickell City Centre is the epitome of easy city living, with everything from world-class restaurants and shopping to a high-end hotel within walking distance. The residential towers feature libraries, spas, workout centers, and full-service concierges. Every apartment is decorator ready, with flooring and all kitchen and bathroom fixtures installed.

This is where DKOR comes in! It can be a bit challenging to furnish a turn-key condo in a large, upscale building, as there are often restrictions on when you can move furniture into the building, and the set layouts restrict your decorating opportunities. But hiring an interior design firm, like DKOR Interiors, can make the move-in process painless!

Our first apartment decorating project in Brickell City Centre is a two bedroom, two and a half bathroom condo for a family from the Dominican Republic in the Reach residential tower.

The apartment is a blank slate, so we when we started dreaming up the design concept we took inspiration from our clients’ island backgrounds and the combination of city and sea that can be viewed from the condo’s balcony. What sprang forth was a concept that celebrated the hustle bustle of cosmopolitan life and the natural elements of pristine coastlines.

A mostly neutral color palette with pops of ocean blues sets the stage for natural woods, lots of ocean-inspired textures and patterns, and polished surfaces to make the home shine. We’re working on nearly every space, from the master bedroom to hallways. We can’t wait to share the final spaces of this apartment decorating project with you all very soon. But for now, here are some empty house shots to whet your whistle:
