TAKE 1 China – This past June 2011, Karina Donadel and Ivonne Ronderos from DKOR Interiors were invited on a trip to the South of China in search for quality products for their on-going project in Port au Prince, Haiti. Neither of them had ever been to Asia so they were excited to check out for themselves firsthand what China had to offer. Join them on their journey to discover China, its people and the misconception behind their furniture, labor and products. Never had they imagined the immense amount of resources they would discover and now be able to offer to their residential and commercial clients.
This first video shows their initial visit to a factory in Foshan, China. They were both under the impression that most furniture in China was poorly manufactured in large factories rushed through conveyor belts and through machines while using the cheapest materials available. Here you see a glimpse into a factory specialized in manufacturing furniture for 5 STAR hotels throughout the world. Not only were the factories extremely well organized and furniture far from machine made but there was an immense sense of pride in their workmanship.
Here is a sneak peek of whats to come!!!!
