Minimalist furniture design for a modern dining room

We never get tired of creating beautiful custom furniture pieces. Today we are sharing with you the second post of our custom furniture blog series in collaboration with the Miami handmade furniture company, Rotsen Furniture.  This post is all about the gorgeous custom wood dining table designed and built specially to outfit the modern dining room of our interior design project “Detailed Minimalism”.

DKOR’s project, “Detailed Minimalism” is one of our favorite residential design projects packed with open spaces and modern design furnishings. The project was created for a Brazilian family of six with minimalist tastes. Our talented interior designers took the “less is more” approach to masterly create beautiful interiors for every room in the home of these special clients. Thus proving how in interior design, beautiful spaces with big impact can be achieved through simplicity.

The concept that guided the design process of this detailed minimalist dream home was suspension, evoking optical illusions and the absence of gravity and weightlessness. These characteristics were implemented to achieve the large open spaces, floating design elements and fresh modern design the family was looking for in their new minimalist home.

We are excited to take you inside the dining room of this minimalist home which highlights the straight lines, shades of white and delicate architectural details continued throughout the home.

The furniture selections needed to be toned with the minimalistic architectural style so the DKOR interior design team selected a custom wood dining table from Rotsen furniture.  Their team of artisans hand crafted a long custom glass top and Tamburil wood base dining table that grounded the white open space.  The sharp lines and solid surfaces of the hand crafted, custom dining table keeps with the minimalist principles of this design project.

Once again, the Rotsen Furniture team delivered a high quality custom furniture piece showcasing their fine craftsmanship. The beautiful and elegant dining table sits ten guests comfortably in the Liz dining chairs by Cattelan Italia available at the Miami Arravanti showroom.

We love the dining room’s modern completed look that combines simplicity, beauty, and sophistication.
