So last week you saw photos of the existing home room concepts.
—Better said, “the before” of our Miami Modern Home Interior Design project.
As you may have gathered by now from our other projects, the first step in developing the design is ROOM CONCEPTS DEVELOPMENT. This is where we have gathered images that depict our design intention throughout each space. Since this will be a project will be a complete renovation, we have developed detailed slides for each space including the stairs, bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, etc. Now that you are a little bit more familiar with the property, take a look at our concepts for some of the individual rooms.
The house has 5 bedrooms (including a master, three bedrooms, and a maid’s quarter), 5.5 bathrooms, an office, a family room, play room, living, dining and kitchen with an extensive breakfast area.
The office will be used mainly by “Mrs. Miami Modern Home” and the children to do homework. We are building a custom wall-unit in an espresso wood finish with cubbies at the top and a desk at the bottom in a U shape that wraps around the room. The interior of the cubbies will have a lacquered chartreuse finish and the space will be enclosed with custom frosted glass doors.
The kitchen is head – to – toe Mia Cucina with cabinets in a white glass face and walnut base.
For the kid’s rooms we are staying within the modern and fresh feel of the house while bringing in pops of bright color such as lime green. We are looking to incorporate interactive features such as a chalkboard wall and fun unique kid size furniture.
Last but not least, the bathrooms are very linear and play with the concept of planes in the use of materials. They will be a study in contrasting and complementary textures established with tiles from resin inlaid with pebbles to a long porcelain tile that resembles wood grain. Look out for our Bathroom Presentation soon to come!
