See More of “Lago-A-Lago”: A Luxurious Palm Beach Project
When designing a spec home, or any new construction home, it’s important that the common spaces really drive home the design intent. No detail can be overlooked or untouched. Everything should build to the overall home design.
We’re so excited to share a few more common spaces in our Lago-a-Lago Palm Beach project that we think do just that. The design intent is “The Mystery of an Exclusive Villa”—over-the-top elegance and luxury all the way, but with a contemporary twist. We’ve previously shared the foyer, office or library, and living room, but today you’ll get a sneak peek into the dining room, wine bar, and main staircase—a major moment.
A Luxurious Palm Beach Project – Home Interiors
Talk about a light fixture! They say that lighting is like the jewelry of a home, but this drapey statement piece takes that to a whole new level. It catches the eye and won’t let it go. That is, until you see the staircase. We partnered with Bella Stairs to create a dream staircase. We can’t be the only ones who dream about gliding down a stunning staircase just like this ready for a night on the town, right?
The platform features two types of marble: black Saint Laurent marble—accented with brushed brass to match one handrail—topped with white Statuario Extra marble. The contemporary wood staircase features another handrail, this one is composed of smokey, sultry glass, so you can see the exquisite construction of the staircase all the way up.
In the dining room, there’s no need for a rug to accent the dining table, the inlaid Arabescato marble takes care of that. Deeply textured wall coverings and drapes lend a sumptuousness to the space, while brushed brass metal inlays add a hint of sparkle.
Despite its luxury, this dining room is warm and welcoming; it will no doubt host many a lively dinner party that goes late into the night.
Tucked beneath a second staircase is one of this luxury Palm Beach home’s coolest features: a wine bar. With room for hundreds of bottles, it’s easy to over look the design and focus on the vino. But that would be a shame! The wood panels and cabinetry match the staircase perfectly, creating a seamless effect.
Now, about the staircase. Featuring many of the same elements as the grand staircase, this one’s brushed brass handrail is backlit, creating a focal point, and the Saint Laurent marble continues to act as a landing spot. However, these stair treads are floating, lending a lightness the other staircase lacks. The juxtaposition of the black marbled landing and the white marble floors is crisp, marking where one space ends and another begins.
We can’t wait to show you even more of this Luxurious Palm Beach Project, so stay tuned!
