Inspired by a fireflower, the design concept of this modern condo interior signifies a warm new beginning for a young lovely family who decided to settle in Miami after years of living internationally.
Their residence — located in the new luxury Muse Sunny Isles high-rise — is a 4,355-square-foot oceanfront condo with floor-to-ceiling windows, spectacular views and smart home features. We’ve shared our design inspiration and process, and looks inside the condo’s master bedroom and kids’ bedrooms in previous posts. Now, is time to reveal the interior details on the common areas. Do you remember our design intents for these areas? The final results look so pretty and elegant, exactly what we were envisioning. Read on for all the details.
You only get one chance to make a good first impression, and the foyer in this luxury Muse Sunny Isles condo does just that. Upon entering, you’re greeted by two beautiful pieces of art. A grand 5-foot-tall abstract giclée print on canvas that melds indigo and slate with black gradients to echo the interior furnishings’ color palette, and a black-and-white abstract print that perfectly complements it. We added a show-stopping laser-etched torchiere light to provide an inviting glow to the scene, and underfoot, a plush navy blue rug in an ocean-inspired design is cozy. Welcome home.
At DKOR Interiors, combining layers of texture, color, material, and silhouettes is a key element of our interior residential designs. This principle helped us create a main living space that’s a feast for the eyes. The contemporary, straight-lined Casadesus sectional in a gray-brown linen blend fabric juxtaposes with the curvaceous cream accent chair. Stiletto legs on the Natuzzi side table, which features an organic marble-patterned top, add even more visual interest. On the entertainment wall, neolith marble covers the expanse, with contrasting dark wood veneer slats and grey walnut cabinets below. This neolith marble acts as the elegant and sophisticated centerpiece of the room. Accessories with natural materials, like geodes and greenery, plus warm metallics fill the shelves for an organic quality, a must-have in modern high-rise condo decor. We also brought in pops of blue in the pillows and rug to reinforce the color palette.
In the dining room — an all-important space for gathering and connecting — we created a sophisticated yet casual-feeling environment; a perfect balance. A striking cascade chandelier provides ambient light above the 10-person table, which is finished in a warm Thermo Oak, just begging guests to take a seat. Tailored, sloped-arm dining chairs in a Vintage Charcoal fabric with Burnished Brass legs, surround the table. Nearby, a vertical painting again reinforces the color palette we chose for the new condo’s interior design. Two green leafy potted plants add much-needed warmth and vitality.
Breakfast Nook and Kitchen
A kitchen and functional breakfast area round out the open-concept living/dining space, where it’s important that all elements speak the same language for a cohesive feel. In this area, the eye immediately goes to the unique metallic herringbone-patterned tile backsplash that covers part of the wall. This tile selection contrasts beautifully with the rich dark wood cabinetry and black appliances. The woven-wire pendant light hanging from the ceiling is centered on the custom-sized breakfast table. Additionally, white leather chairs with quilted backs from Cattelan Italia provide ample seating —a perfectly casual corner for the family to enjoy a quick meal.
The common areas truly encapsulate the vision we had for the interior of this modern condo at Muse Sunny Isles. Check back for the full condo reveal soon — we can’t wait to show you!
