Stay a While in this Dream Entertaining Space
Earlier this month we shared the design inspiration for a modern Mexican home in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon: The Harmony of Volumes. It’s about contrasting sizes, materials, and colors to create an ideal space in which a big family can celebrate and make lots of memories. We shared the stunning and luxury interior designs of the foyer, living and dining room. Our international design team is also working on creating this dream entertaining space for the family. Take a look!
This dream entertaining space does triple duty, combining three different spaces (game room, TV room, and wine bar) into one all-encompassing, adults-only area.
On the far right, an air hockey table offers a chance for some friendly competition. There’s even an area for spectators to watch from a bench built into the back wall. When it’s time to “buy” the winner a drink, there’s no need to head out to bar, just pop over to the wine cellar and wet bar right in the center of the room.
Dream Entertaining Space – Wine Cellar
The wine cellar is a piece of art in itself. The back wall features a custom acrylic piece by Italian artist Alex Turco. Surrounding it are gray oak shelving units that can hold more than 300 bottles of wine and liquor along with all of the appropriate glassware for the perfect pour. Motion sensored, locked doors allow only those who should enter the wine cellar to access the treasure trove held within it.
Once you’ve selected your drink, someone can pour it for you at the four-seat bar, which looks like a big city hotspot transplanted into a Mexican family home and offers a great view of the aquarium. A duo of eye-catching pendant lights hangs off-center over the bar, creating even more interest and intrigue around the space.
On the far end of the room is an area that’s more aligned with relaxing than partaking in competition. A gray chaise and sectional sofa ensure there’s always a spot for those who want to gather around the TV to watch a movie, show, or sporting event.
Much like the great room, we shared with you in our last post, this space has room for every adult in the family, no matter what they’re looking to do (relax, share a drink, or play a game).
