Diseño de interiores en Polanco: DKOR’s International interior design project.
Last summer we shared with you the beginning of our latest interior design endeavor taking place in México. The design concept and development phases of our project are completed and it is now time to come back to this beautiful and beloved country for a site visit to our International design project in Polanco.
You can read up the recap our first site visit here.
As a Mexican interior designer, I honestly have a particular affection for this interior design project in Mexico City. This is a rewarding and unique opportunity to do what I love in a place that is close to my heart while representing DKOR Miami’s leading interior design studio.
After several phone calls and video conferences with our extended team in México, we are now at the exact moment when a face-to-face meeting is necessary. We prepared all the plans, presentations and material samples for our visit and after a four-hour flight we arrived at our destination.
One thing I love most about my country is how welcoming México is and how helpful the community is to our DKOR team when we visit. Video conferencing is helpful, but there is a special feeling that one can only experience while on a site visit. Seeing the physical space coming to life in person is a truly fascinating process.
While working remotely, it is very important that our interior design team communicates well with all of our collaborators. Having a keen ability to understand how each individual works and how to effectively deliver clear responsibilities within a well-defined schedule is so important while working remotely. Our experience working abroad confirms that we do not let distances become an obstacle for delivering innovative interior design.
One of our objectives of this particular site visit was to meet with our carpenter. We are incorporating textured wood wall panels as one of our principal design features and need to clarify any details in person to be assured we can move forward with a successful installation. Stay tuned for progress on this project to see this design feature come to life.
