Warm, Energizing Bedroom Ideas for the Whole Family
This oceanfront condo in one of our favorite Sunny Isles high-rise apartment buildings has a style that will spark your imagination. A bold, fireflower style—inspired by, among other things, the burst of a firework—runs through every room in this home. While we’ve shown you other spaces in the condo, it’s time to focus on bedroom ideas for the whole family.
The Master Bedroom
The master bedroom is a cool, contemporary version of our overall inspiration. Cool blues and grays tone down the warm taupes and splashes of gold that bring warmth to the space. The symmetry of a pair of lamps, atop a pair of nightstands on either side of the bed, lends calmness to the master bedroom—a necessity when you have little ones.
Instead of the more expected piece of artwork behind the bed, we’ve created a statement wall with a tinted mirror, wood panel, and channel-tufted headboard to bring some drama. On the other walls, we’ve hung a woven wallcovering to add depth, where the existing Arden marble on the floors provides a sleek, shiny sheen.

The Girl’s Bedroom
You’ll notice these renderings are a bit different from the one of the master bedroom—that’s because we offer non-high-resolution renderings to clients who are able to easily visualize specific spaces without a more low-resolution rendering and want to stay within their desired budget. Our clients are still able to get a sense of what the room will look like, and they save just a bit. It’s a win-win!
Now, back to the design! In this adorable little girl’s room, we’re still bringing in the pop and warmth of a fireflower, but we’ve tinted it with a pink hue.
Gold or brass accents, paired with soft pink walls—whether that’s paint or a texture-filled wallpaper—create a warm, cozy feel. To temper that warmth a bit, we’ve added in pops of turquoise accents on pillows and desk accessories. The cool blue hue will lend the perfect balance.
The gold dot decals along one wall are reminiscent of the fireworks that swirl toward the ground as they fizzle out, while a copper end table and shimmery silver sheers keep the sparkle moving throughout the space.
Getting the perfect wall color isn’t a one-coat-and-done project. It’s important to find the one that casts just the right hue throughout the whole space. Our interior design team always paint swatches, live with them for a little bit, and then view them throughout the day to see how the light changes before whipping out the roller brush and covering the whole wall.
We love the depth this textured wallpaper brings to this little girl’s study nook. We can’t wait to hang up all of the other fun accessories we have planned for this space.
The Boy’s Bedroom
The boy’s space perfect for its inhabitant—both are cool as a cucumber. The mostly-blue palette is highlighted with pops of gold and goldenrod hues, and grounded by a variety of grays.
The sleek marble floors are softened by large area rugs and the walls are bedecked with blues galore. To mirror the graphic nature of a fireflower, we incorporated a prism-style tri-colored wall behind the bed. Colors intersect to create an eye-catching statement in the room.
Sometimes only real-life pictures can do something justice. So, sneak a peek at the walls in this modern boy’s bedroom.
We hope you found some bedroom inspiration for the whole family in these rooms! If not, check out our bedroom page for even more bedroom ideas. But do stick around for the full reveal of all the rooms in this fireflower-inspired condo interior design!
