Our Favorite Season Inspires a Cabana Bathroom Design

As soon as you spot your first robin redbreast and daffodil bulbs about to bloom, you know that spring has arrived. Spring is such a special time of year! We often use this bright and cheerful season as inspiration for some of the interiors we design, resulting in some of our best cabana bathroom renovations – as well as other rooms.

As part of the remodel of this Weston, FL home, we were in charge of renovating its cabana bathroom. Our design team chose a functional and bright design, and absolutely love the way the renovation turned out. We can’t wait to share it with you!

WHAT IS A CABANA BATHROOM?

In case you don’t know, a cabana bathroom is an area where people can shower and change before heading to the pool. It can also be a place to relax in the shade. It is an important space for two reasons: its design often reflects the overall design of the home, and it’s also most likely going to be used by guests.

Needless to say, you can find cabana bathrooms almost everywhere in Florida, where the weather is warm, the sun shines most of the year and many homes have swimming pools.

A Fun and Refreshing Bathroom Renovation

Our client wanted the space to be fun and refreshing. Our design team came up with a delightful idea that mixes materials and details beautifully. The result was one of the best bathroom renovations ever!

We worked with Villas Construction on this fabulous project.

We chose a cheerful statement tile as the main element of this cabana bathroom. Mercado blue porcelain title has a gorgeous pattern featuring all of our favorite spring colors: blue, white, and orange/red.

The white calacatta marble used on the double vanity added a touch of brightness and sophistication.

We chose the sconces for their clean, sleek design. The gold and bronze accents throughout were the perfect punctuation for this springlike cabana bathroom project.

We complemented the Mercado tile with a white hexagonal tile on the shower’s wall. We added a recessed niche framed with the same accent tile to create visual interest while providing a great spot to place shower accessories.

We chose a porcelain floor for its durability and easy maintenance. Its wood grain finish worked perfectly with our design, giving the space a genuine “cabana” feel.

My family, and the fact that I can be a support for them. I’m a dreamer, my dreams keep me inspired. The DKOR team’s good vibes and the team culture we’ve developed in the studio is something that makes me want to come to work everyday.
