Contemporary Miami House Renovation
Guiding our interior design team throughout this complete home renovation was our concept: “The Essence of Twilight.” Pulling inspiration from that moment at the end of a busy day where all the hustle and bustle fades away into one peaceful sunset, the DKOR Interiors team designed a home that provided comfort to a family who had relocated to the Sunshine State from Mexico. Our design of this contemporary home emphasized vertical movement and gradients, while pulling the color palette of blues, grays, and pops of amber, from the sun setting over the ocean.
For this complete home renovation, turning a Mediterranean-style house into a contemporary home, the DKOR Interiors team provided interior design and design development services. In addition to working and collaborating with the clients’ general contractor, we provided selections for general finishes and materials, as well as furniture and accessories selections for all rooms and ancillary spaces of the home.
Using natural materials, warm colors, and soft textures, we aimed to revamp this 1990s Mediterranean house into a welcoming, contemporary home for a family who’d recently relocated to Miami. Our designers worked to ensure that their design brought to life the family’s vision for their dream home and helped the family make a smooth transition from their life in Mexico.
