Indoor Garden Ideas by Florida Interior Designers
As Florida interior designers we understand the importance of keeping fresh greenery in our daily environments. Our DKOR team of modern interior designers reveals their personal side and share how they are all truly plant lovers at heart!
When designing home interiors we always try to include the green, natural touch that plants give to any space. Our portfolio of modern designed homes shows the different ways we combine nature with interior design.
Recently, we were featured on Houzz’s editorial Ideabook composed by Laura Fenton, a Brooklyn-based writer. In the article titled “Air Plants: The Easiest Choice for Your Indoor Garden”, Fenton highlights different ways to use air plants to achieve a charming indoor garden. This is where our innovative design idea that incorporated air plants into the bathroom design of our interior design project “A Modern Miami Home” was featured.
Air plants are easy to maintain as they only need natural light and occasional watering to survive. DKOR’s Florida interior designers added the beautiful greenery into the space through the installation of staghorn ferns mounted on the wall that were strategically located close to the window to catch the sun rays. This creative design idea and several more are listed here.
The main reason why air plants are one of the favorite plants used in modern interior design is that they come in a wide variety of sizes, colors and shapes. We can find more than 400 species of air plants and all of them can be displayed in unique and creative ways.
Florida interior designers know that with a dose of creativity the possibilities to display these gorgeous plants are endless; they can be display individually or in group. You don’t even need to have a lot of space to bring the natural touch to your interior.
To help you convert your air plants into a decorative element, there are a lot of beautiful containers that can be selected, from a modern air plant pod to innovative hanging planters. Fall in love with air plants too and create stylish and natural home décor for any interior!
