IKEA HACK: Innovative custom furniture idea by Top Interior Design Team

We are thrilled to share with you another blog post of our favorite series, IKEA HACKS! This time we are sharing all the details of how our top interior design team transforms a simple space inside the residence of our interior design project “Contemporary Twilight” into a dream craft room that will entice you to stay in all day creating. The most amazing part is that the affordability of IKEA products sparked our interior designer’s creativity to design a practical and functional work space for the family.

Craft rooms are spaces dedicated to let your inner creativity shine and get your hands dirty. A big space isn’t a requirement for creating a well-organized craft room. With a clever design solution and creativity you can make the most out of even the smallest spaces.

Lots of craft supplies including art paper, colors, scissors, paintbrushes, tape, etc are stocked up in these rooms. To avoid having all the supplies scattered around the room focus on storage and accessibility.

DKOR’s top interior design team created a genius storage solution with IKEA SEKTION furniture pieces. The design team utilized different sized kitchen cabinets that brought to life a beautiful customized furniture piece just right for this inspirational space.

The gorgeous custom furnishing makes it easy to keep everything in the right place and within reach for every project. All the supplies and crafting tools are organized without the need to have storage boxes and baskets in sight. To maximize the space in the room all the furniture was strategically and ergonomically placed and a round table was selected to keep the area visually open.

To add an interesting architectural detail and contrast the IKEA white goods, our interior designers completed this piece with a custom wood niche with LED lighting.

This craft room is one of our DKOR team’s favorite IKEA hacks to date that incorporated the use of many of the Scandinavian brands products including the table, sink cabinet, and a pendant lamp.

A blue tones wallpaper was used to give the room airy colors that help to reflect the light in the room stimulate the creativity and bring up a decorative touch.
