Miami-Based Design Firm Attending ICFF New York 2019’s Events
For over 30 years, ICFF New York has been one of the best high-end interior design events in the country. Taking place in New York, the show is a great platform to see the best and what’s next in luxury interiors. The fair has grown rapidly in the past years and now attracts more than 38,000 design professionals and enthusiasts and over 900 exhibitors from 60+ countries.
As a Miami-based design firm, we first attended this North America’s fair a few years ago (check out that trip here), but this year, we experienced ICFF NYC 2019 in a new and exciting way — our head DKORista, Ivonne Ronderos, was invited to be part of a conversation with other design industry leaders.
ICFF is indeed more than just a design exhibition! It’s also an educational opportunity, where design professionals can share ideas and learn from each other. That’s the idea behind the ICFF Talks series — which Ivonne participated in —where the industry’s leading designers and icons have a conversation about innovative design trends and timely design-related topics.
As with any major interior design show, there is always much more going on around the main event. ICFF is no exception. After receiving the invitation, we planned our trip to New York to coincide with other important events organized by beloved vendors and brands. Below, read a recap of our adventure in the Big Apple.

ICFF New York Talks – Modern Design
First, Ivonne Ronderos joined Cheryl Eisen, Founder and CEO of the Interior Marketing Group, ELLE Decor’s Home Editor, Monique Valeris, and interior designer Rio Hamilton in the panel “What is “Modern” design today?”
The group of experts pictured above discussed the term “modern” and what it truly means in interior design today. The conversation also included subjects like current design trends, what makes a style last and changing trends in color.
VISIONNAIRE Anniversary Private Dinner
We were invited to a private dinner by Visionnaire to celebrate the brand’s 15th anniversary and 60 years of the mother company IPE. We loved sharing the evening with a group of interior designers, architects, and design editors.
During the event at the Nomad Hotel, we also had the opportunity to meet Visionnaire’s founders Eleonore and Leopold Cavalli and to get to know more about the brand’s latest collection.

Special Evening with Poliform
Next, we stopped at the Poliform showroom on Madison Ave to be part of a special evening. The Italian luxury modern furniture brand displayed its new arrivals. It’s always a pleasure to meet with our friends there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at ICFF New York 2019. We love to meet talented people that share our passion for all things design, which fuels our travels to events all over the world. Stay tuned for our upcoming adventures!
